It’s been raining nonstop for a couple of days, so I hauled my ass out of bed early to take pictures before the weather got bad again. I got so many “what the hell are you doing,” looks from adults while I was taking these. It was painful.

I bought a fancy new laser pointer (which is hands down the coolest thing in the world) and used a rented 24mm lens for this. It was fun to play with some new toys.

On the first day of school I I have to have a “concentration” which is basically a portfolio that shows “an in-depth exploration of a subject or theme in one media”. Naturally I’m choosing to do photography because art wise that’s my strongest area. So this summer I’m going to work on a series of self portraits that show my theme, which is light, in a number of different ways.
Here’s my first photo.
